THE TURN OF THE SCREW

ART OF ACTING STUDIO, LOS ANGELES

SCENIC DESIGNER - PAINTER

Henry James’ classic ghost story tells the tale of a young governess just before the turn of the last century who is tasked with the care of two rather peculiar children at a country estate in England. The governess comes to believe the children are possessed by the previous groundskeeper and governess who have since died.

I designed the set, built and painted.

MUTUAL CONSENT

CALIFORNIA REPERTORY THEATRE, LONG BEACH

SCENIC DESIGNER

“A merging of two people is an impossibility, and where it seems to exist, it is a hemming-in, a mutual consent that robs one party or both of their fullest freedom and development. But once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist, a marvelous living side-by-side can grow up for them, if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of always seeing each other as a whole and before an immense sky.” --Rainer Maria Rilke
